Festivals Come join us for the APPLE BUTTER FESTIVAL & NEW "CORN MAZE" celebration, September 10th-11th, 2011. On September 10th &
11th, Apple Country Orchards and Metropolitan Lubbock Rotary Club
will host the 16th Annual Apple Butter
Festival, 10 am - 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday. The festival offers a fun filled
weekend for the whole family. The festival features activities and entertainment for all ages. Live bluegrass, country, and gospel music will be offered both days. Performers include Paul Davidson, Joe Gillis, Kim Townsend and more.
Children will enjoy the petting zoo, lots of children's
crafts and activities, and face painting. Children
and adults can relax and enjoy hay rides through the apple trees, a visit with
Johnny Appleseed, a Space Slide for the kids, craft booths in the orchard, green
chili roasting, our NEW CORN MAZE and
LOTS of APPLE PICKING.
A benefit BBQ lunch with beverage will
be offered all day for $5. Fresh apple turnovers and Bluebell ice cream are $2. All these events and more will take place at Apple Country Orchards, located 4 miles east of Idalou on Highway 62 & 82, just 15 minutes from Lubbock. Admission is only $3 per person and children under 6 can enter free. Entrance to our Corn Maze is &7. Our address is 12206 East Hwy 62, Idalou, TX 79329. All proceeds from Festival activities benefit
the South Plains Food Bank Rotary Apple Orchard, Meals on Wheels, and other charities.. Come join the fun !!!!
Come join us for the PUMPKIN FEST October 8, 2011 We will have pumpkins of all shapes and sizes, decorative gourds, fresh APPLE CIDER for fermentation, HAY for sale for the holidays, Corn stalks and HAY RIDES in the Orchard. Come see us and experience Fall in the "apple trees". LOTS of APPLE PICKING....we provide the bucket and liners for picking. We are also pouring raw honey and have all our great fresh veggies for sale - including our Black-eye peas. This year we will be roasting green chilies. Don't forget about our FRESH APPLE pancakes for breakfast until 11 am to benefit the GRUB kids at the Food Bank Farm. Our bakery is always open, featuring our German Apple Cakes, yummy apple pies, and fresh baked cookies, etc. Lunch begins at 11:30 am. APPLE BLOSSOM CELEBRATION Come visit us April 9, 2011 It is apple blossom time again. Bring your cameras and take a hayride through the 6000 apple trees in full bloom. Come taste our fresh apple pancakes and sausage breakfast served all day from 9 am to 4 pm, proceeds to support Meals on Wheels. See you there!!!!

GARDEN and ARTS FESTIVAL September 18, 2010 9 am - 6 pm The Lubbock Garden and Arts Center is holding their annual Festival on Saturday, September 19. Apple Country Orchards will be roasting green chilis, pouring raw honey, selling our jams, jellies, and pumpkin pie filling, and will have our famous German Apple cakes for sale.
